Occupancy and cabin use: published rates assume double occupancy—two guests per occupied cabin.

Your charter rate brings the essential parts of the Ola Azul experience together in one clear package.

Included

  • A professional captain and chef.
  • Onboard meals provided under your selected dining plan.
  • Standard ship's bar.
  • Yacht fuel.
  • Use of Ola Azul's available water toys and equipment.
  • Mooring and dockage fees.
  • BVI cruising permits and customs fees for BVI-based, BVI-only charters.

Handled Separately When Applicable

  • Shoreside meals included in the Half-Board or Local Fare schedule are at guest expense.
  • USVI pickup is $1,000 and USVI drop-off is $500.
  • USVI pickup or drop-off with BVI cruising adds $170 cash per person for immigration, customs and port departure fees.
  • Crew gratuity is customarily 15–20% of the charter rate and is paid directly to the crew based on your experience aboard.
Cruising Area & Pickup

BVI Based, With USVI Options

Ola Azul is based in Tortola and can embark and disembark guests in both the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. BVI pickup and drop-off are preferred. USVI and other locations require advance approval.

BVI Charters

  • Base port and preferred pickup: Tortola, Village Cay, BVI.
  • BVI pickup and drop-off are preferred.
  • Customs fees and cruising permits are included for BVI-based, BVI-only charters.
  • Additional BVI pickup and drop-off locations may be requested.
  • Specific BVI ports remain subject to availability and Ola Azul's annual operating limits.
  • Standard turnaround between regular charters is 24 hours.

USVI Pickup or Drop-Off

  • Available by advance approval for charters of at least seven nights.
  • USVI pickup: $1,000 additional charge.
  • USVI drop-off: $500 additional charge.
  • USVI pickup or drop-off combined with BVI cruising: add $170 cash per person for immigration, customs and port departure fees.
  • The $170 per-person charge does not apply to USVI-only or BVI-only cruising.

  • Available the night before the charter start date.
  • Boarding after 4:00 PM.
  • Welcome cocktail and canapés.
  • Light breakfast the following morning.
  • Dinner and additional drinks ashore are at guest expense.
  • Not available during Christmas or New Year's weeks.
2026 / 2027 Holiday Season

Christmas & New Year

Holiday charters are full-board only, require a minimum of seven nights and require a 48-hour turnaround between charters instead of the standard 24 hours.

Christmas Week

Before You Reserve

Contracts and waivers

A charter waiver is required in addition to the standard charter contract.

Port availability

Please ask your charter broker about BVI port availability. Specific pickup and drop-off requests may be affected by Ola Azul's annual operating limits.

Additional locations

Additional pickup and drop-off locations may be available by advance arrangement. Your charter broker can coordinate your dates and travel plans.

Crew gratuity

A crew gratuity of 15–20% of the charter rate is customary. Gratuity is paid directly to the crew and should reflect your experience aboard.
